First day in Paris!
Today was tiring but more exciting than ever. It was a long flight but we all survived for the sake of experiencing France. Upon our arrival at 6:00am French-time and 12:00am Ohio-time , we took a bus to our little hotel called Hotel de Versailles. We visited Notre Dame, which was when it hit everyone that we were ACTUALLY in Paris. It was incredible. We saw the inside of the cathedral and the stained-glass windows and all of the gargoyles outside. Our next stop was Le Louvre, which was sadly not open today, but the outside was beautiful. The old palace and the modern pyramid were eye-opening to the changes that have been made. Emma made friends with a duck in the pond which made her day. "It has been my dream to talk to a French duck in French," she said! The group then walked the Champs-Elysees where we spent an hour shopping and adventuring. Everyone was incredibly exhausted and Hannah was found asleep on the Champs Elysees. LOL. It was then dinner at La Creperie des Champs Elysees. We climbed to the top of l'Arc de Triomphe and had an amazing view of Paris. Now, we are back at the hotel for a well-deserved night of sleep.
